Composer/producer Chris Nicolaides, a classically trained pianist and violinist, has been creating music from orchestral to pop since 1990. Recent work includes scoring the highly acclaimed BBC drama The Impressionists starring Julian Glover, the true story of the French painters, which has already been sold to over 100 territories.
Chris was asked to contribute to the score of the highly successful Miramax movie The Importance of Being Earnest starring ReeseWitherspoon, Colin Firth, Rupert Everett & Dame Judy Dench, two themes with four variations of each appearing in the film.
Recent pop credits include production/composition with singer Mozez from multi million selling group Zero-7 for a forthcoming album, production on tracks by Number 1 artist Chesney Hawkes, and recording credits on the Number 1 debut album by Mika.
After scoring a 3-part BBC documentary about Paris, Chris was commissioned to compose two symphonic pieces of music for LEXUS cars, recorded by the world famous London Symphony Orchestra at AIR studios. These works were performed by 12 Lexus LS460 cars (The Lexus Symphony Orchestra!) at various live classical concerts around the UK in the summer of 2007. 2008 has seen Chris complete scoring the 6 part BBC series, Dan Cruickshank's Adventures in Architecture and he is now scoring a 12 part BBC series, Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage, which is scheduled for a July broadcast, while also working with pop star Mika.
Chris continues his writing/production with various artists and is able to comfortably produce music in many differing styles, from Orchestral to Pop, R&B and Rock.
